Biography: "Alan Rogers is chair of the department of history at Boston College. He is the By author of numerous journal articles and the forthcoming book Murder and the Death Penalty in Massachusetts. Born in Connecticut, Rogers received his Ph.D. from the University of California. He has taught at Stirling University, Scotland and at the University of Indonesia. At Boston College he teaches courses in U. S. Constitutional history, Anglo-American law, and the death penalty, among others. Rogers lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts, with his wife Lisa and daughter Nora. "
